Error Code 5. Firewall. Firewall does not start.

I have used this link Diagnose and fix Windows Firewall service problems automatically and downloaded the fixer. This told me that the problem may be occurring because of a group policy or Norton security firewall program. I do not know how to change either of these. Any sort of help would be much appreciated.

Do you have norton security installed?

If so it uses its own firewall, in which case you do not need windows firewall on. You should not run more then one firewall at a time.
