Hi,

I had issues with daemon as well. I used virtual clone instead: SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive and so far it works great.

If you want to get rid of daemon but can't try booting into safe mode (F8 during boot) and try uninstlling it that way.

By the way, you can attach photos/screenshots/files using these forums and you don't need an external link. Jus look below where you normally write your thread message. There is an "Additional Options" section where you can add attachments.

i had the same problem, but i tried UltraISO, and it installed, the oinly problem now is that the virtual drive wont work. Does anybody wonder if they do this stuff on purpose, so we have to spend money? or is it that they just like to mess with us?

hello starhunter and welcome to the forum...

what i did was to unninstall the sptd from the device manager...
or go into in safemode and delete the SPTD.sys from c:\windows\system32\drivers
restart...
and that should screen should be gone...
DT isnt compatible with Windows 7 so until Duplex Secure (DT tools driver is licenced by DS) updates their driver to support W7 DT wont work....

Well, I know that virtual clone drive works. Its not as fancy as DT, but it runs lighter and works great even with multiple virtual drives.

Hi Darkassain,

I'm having the same problem as described, I did delete the sptd from the device manager but the error message still appears.

I was about to just delete the sptd.sys file from the indicated folder, but I was wondering why you recommend doing so from the safe mode. Is there a specific reason or is it just for those who cannot boot properly the computer at first?

Thanks!
