Hello everyone!

I bought a new custom built gaming PC an I've been trying to install Windows 7 for hours. I've been trying to install Windows 7 via a 4GB USB drive. I didn't buy an optical drive.

Here's what I've tried:

1) Make a bootable USB drive following this:

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2432-usb-windows-7-installation-key-drive-create.html

When I tried with Rufus, my installation froze on the "starting windows" part, right after the "loading files" part ended.

When I tried the Microsoft tool way, I got this error right after the "loading files" part:

2) Then I tried to make a UEFI Bootable USB, following this guide:

UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows

Then again, right after the "loading files" part I got the same error, only slightly different:

I have no idea what's going on. I'd appreciate some help.

Also, these are my specs:

Motherboard: GIGABYTE H97-GAMING 3
CPU: INTEL CORE i7-4790, 3.60GHz quad core
RAM: KINGSTON 2x8GB DDR 3
HDD: SEAGATE 1000GB 7200 64MB SATA III Barracuda
SSD: SAMSUNG 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive 850 Evo /SSD/
Video Card: ASUS, GEFORCE GTX 970, 4GB video memory

If you have a UEFI BIOS then make sure you've disabled Secure Boot, enabled UEFI Boot and try first with CSM or LEgacy BIOS or Boot disabled.

Make sure you've written the USB installation media correctly using Option One from UEFI Flash stick tutorial, in particular that the settings don't jump around when you add the ISO. Is the flash stick big enough for any updated Win7 media that contains all the latest updates?

Then boot the installation media as a UEFI device, which if it's set in BIOS and created correctly will be shown as an option for the flash stick. Follow UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) - Install Windows 7 with - Windows 7 Forums .

If problems persist report back all settings in BIOS related to UEFI, CSM, EFI, BIOS boot order, Secure Boot. Pictures will be very helpful, attach them using paper clip in reply box only.

Nevermind, I used a bigger flash drive (16GB) and I was able to install Windows 7 with no problem.
