Solved explorerframe.dll / Windows 7 x64

I tried yesterday to help a friend of mine, he is using Windows 7 Ultimate x64
When i replaced the ExplorerFrame.dll and 2 more files ( pnidui.dll and SndVolSSO.dll )
the OS didn't startup at all.
I use those 3 files for my OS, but i'm running x86.
Can you help me,please ? He liked the way i customized my Windows, but i can't help him with those 3 files.
How could i make them compatible with x64 ? Any chance ?

For x64 you need to change them in both
C:\Windows\System32
&
C:\Windows\SysWOW64

You will need the same named files from C:\Windows\SysWOW64 change the same images just like in C:\Windows\System32 files.

I installed too, Windows 7 x64, and i have now the same problem.
I can make those 2 files work, i mean pnidui.dll and SndVolSSO.dll
I used "take ownership" and i copy both files in C / Windows / SysWOW64 and the old ones i renamed it. But the icons are still the default ones.
Can you help me please ?
By the way : i tried to copy the files in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and in C:\Windows\System32 too.
Same result.

Make sure that you did not get the wrong .dll in the wrong place do not put the .dll from C:\Windows\SysWOW64 in to C:\Windows\System32 and vice versa do not put the .dll from C:\Windows\System32 in to C:\Windows\SysWOW64

Hello Jerry.
I use those files in Windows 7 Ultimate x86 and i thought they are compatible with x64 too. But it seems to be different.
Is there a way to make those files working in x64 ?
And by the way, the same story for explorerframe.dll

You need to get a copy of each one of those .dll from both C:\Windows\SysWOW64 & C:\Windows\System32 and keep them separate have one folder for System32 and one folder for SysWOW64 on your desktop

As an example when you replace the images in explorerframe.dll bitmap numbers 280, 288, 291, 577, 578, 579, 581, 34560 are the most common ones changed you use the same images in both System32 and SysWOW64 do the same with all the .dll
That means you will have one explorerframe.dll for System32 folder and one explorerframe.dll for SysWOW64 folder to edit using the same images only.

I do not see anything wrong with them. Just in case I have used your images and replace them in the .dll

Okay Jerry, i have them on the desktop.Thanks.
Now : do i have to rename the original ones ( ExplorerFrame.dll pnidui.dll and SndVolSSO.dll) before i copy those files ?
And IF i have to do this, i have to rename them in both folders, System32 and SysWOW64 ?

I have it, now. I thought, every software which is running on x86, is compatible with x64 too
Tclock is not working and i think there is no way to have it under x64.
