Solved Extend Volume on C: Drive grayed out, can't extend volume.

I took my Acer Laptop to the computer shop to get my SSD fixed and when they finished it and got it home i noticed my drives where split into 2 drives of 50GB approximately; C: & D:.
I have been trying to merge or at least give some space to drive C: , but my extend volume button in the partition manager is gray, even tho i have allocated space.
please give me some advice.

Disk Management will not do the extension, but Partition Wizard will do it.

A very small drive
As stated free mini tool can do this but in all honesty you need fewer partitions and a larger drive ultimately

I suspect this is an SSD. It may be OK for the purpose but it has far too many partitions on it..

It looks like there are 3 Recovery Partitons :shock:
Unless they can explain why and show how they work, I wouldn't use or trust that computer shop again

I have seen that several times recently - the 3 recovery partitions. Seems to be something legit. Not sure I understand how they work together. If you make an image, you will need none of them,.

It's the first i've seen with 3 recovery partitions.
From the little searching i did, on some systems Windows will create the 3 recovery partitions when upgrading from Win 8 to Win 8.1

The OP specs show Win 8 as the OS.

You can only extend the volume adding adjacent unallocated space.

You can also do it by third-party software like EaseUS Partition Master.
