Wish I had a better title, but I wasn't sure how to word this.

Basically what's happening is I have 2 instances of Firefox (different versions and different folder locations) and one of the instances is not opening where it's icon location is.

Example Screenshot:

As you can see. The far left instance does not want to open where it's icon location is.
The far right version always does it.
Even if I unpin the currently working instance (blue/orange icon) to only house 1 firefox instance (grey/black), the grey/black instance will still not open like the blue/orange instance current does (in it's own icon).

Hopefully this isn't confusing for anyone. I searched for a few terms to see if anyone had this problem and nothing came up, maybe I wasn't wording my searches correctly.

Hopefully someone can give some insights.

Thanks.

It's set to never combine.

That still wouldn't work. It would be the same, except that it would take away the titles of open programs.
Plus, that only stacks multiple instances of the same program.

I managed to fix it:

Normally, you open a program, right-click the program in the taskbar, and pin it to the taskbar.

What I did was drag the icon/program from the desktop onto the taskbar.
Not sure why that produced a different outcome, but it did.

When you open a program and right click the taskbar, you are pinning that instance o fht eprogram.

When you drag the shortcut to the taskbar or right click an executable (pin to taskbar) you create a link for all instances of the program - or something along those lines. I played around with pinning different ways helping another member quite a while ago, but I forget all the details. Their requirement was different and the solution was similar to yours.

Anyway, I'm glad you sorted it out and thanks for marking the thread solved.
