The refresh offered by the Redmond company applies only to 32-bit (x86) flavors of Windows 7, as it appears that the specific problem it has been designed to fix does not impact the 64-bit (x64) variant of the platform.
According to the software giant, Windows 7 “0x0000007F” have been reported on computers with antivirus software installed.
“Consider the following scenario: you run an active antivirus application on a computer that is running Windows 7. You restart the computer.
“In this scenario, you may receive a Stop error message that resembles the following: STOP: 0x0000007F (0x0000008, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4) UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP
