Hi so i came up to a 80MM fan from fractal design so i was like well.. i could make my system a lot more quiet with this.. when i got home i changed out the fans and put in the new one plugged in the 3pin fan connector on the mobo and started the computer but whait... the fan just attempted to start but with no success.. the computer auto shut down (becouse of cpu fan not working not becouse of overheat) i dont know why.. the Psu is fine, its a 630W BeQuiet L8 pure power, I use a 24pin and a 4pin cpu power for the mobo, Though i have a Nvdida geforce gt430 with no power connectors, only taking power from the pci-e slot. but the old fan was a 12V 0.62 amp one and the fractal is 12V 0.1 amp, i plugged the fan into another connector (my second 3pin fan connector) that one was powering a 12V 0.12amp fan, the fan now got a bit of life and started spinning but bearly. i could se the blades..
Should i get a Molex to 3pin fan connector? Should i say the fan is broken and get a new one or what?

- I hope hanging up your harddrives in rubber-bands for noise reasons isn't too harmful for the drives :S, but eh, rather silence than lasting drives.. :|
