Free mail space, but keep archived 4 outlook search

How can I archive things in a Microsoft exchange mailbox like Calender , tasks, and emails.

I definitely want to hold on to everything. It's useful to hold on to old emails and search old info. I'd like to keep the messages in outlook but not have them on my email server.

Is there a easy way to do this?

Find the *.pst files in (default) C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\

Outlook.pst
Archive.pst

Copy them (with Outlook closed).
You can import them as needed, but be careful with dupes.

What happens if I copy them while outlook is open?

Like if I use an auto backup program

Using a program, it will depend on what your program settings are. Manually

I archive my PST files using an automated backup routine. My routine includes a call to close Outlook.
