I don't consider that to be a problem. With todays usual 3 or 4GBs of RAM, 40 or 60MB is nothing. Main thing is that it does the job - and that is not guaranteed.

I find it funny because it uses that much memory and still does a poor job. I agree with you. If the software does it's job well, then I don't care if it uses a bit more resources. I have 8gb and I installed 8gb to use it. Too many people think that they need to reserve their RAM. Why? It's there to be used.

I am using this antivirus right now.. trial version G Data Antivirus 2011 though and I hate it for some reasons.
1. I play online very often and there's no way of disabling the antivirus. It just download its update whenever it wants, scan as it pleases. There's an option called 'disable monitor' Ive tried using it but I don't really see how anything is disabled.
2. When I want to make a full scan of my PC I'm like WTF!! There's an option for virus scan, root-kit scan, memory scan, start up scan.. Like I have to do all these scans to make a full scan of my PC? o.O
3. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit running on my PC which has an Intel Core 2 quad @2.66 GHz, 2 gig RAM, 500 gig HD and 512 MB graphics.. and when I run a scan my PC freezes.. nothing seems to respond. When I want to open my browser (Chrome) it takes around 1-2 mins to open and when it opens it would not respond for another a minute or 2.
I'm doing a scan (Memory scan) right now and I have my browser open (duh!) and task manager that's all (I have exit all other software running in the background that I'm not using).. still my CPU usage is around 30%-60% and RAM usage is between 1Gig - 1.7 Gig.. O.O
This is why I don't recommend it.. I have used Norton, Avast and Bit defender and have never got that problem. When I saw this antivirus listed as No.1 on some software review websites I thought it would be a great one. Very disappointed. :(
