Solved Gadget Issue

All of a sudden my gadgets weren't displaying after boot up. However, if I do anything related to gadgets such as search for gadgets and then click on Desktop Gadgets then they all appear. At next bootup they are all gone again.

64-bit win7 Home Premium

Check you haven't disabled UAC or Show Desktop Gadgets.

Try making sure it is enabled at start up...

Click Start >> Type MSCONFIG >> Press Enter >> Go to the 'Startup' tab

Make sure Sidebar is checked, it is called 'Microsoft Windows Operating System'


I think this has something to do with the gadgets

Thanks JDobbsy1987 -- that was the problem. The link wasn't there at all so I just put a shortcut to sidebar.exe in my all users startup and it now comes up as it should.

Not sure how it got removed -- maybe when I was fooling with Soluto.
