I know its almost impossible to make a game work without first having met the minimum requirments usually, now my question are as follows.

Where i only have a dual core 3.8ghz AMD A6 5400k Trinity, i can run games that require the same ghz but a quad core, im rather fimilar with overclocking as i had my old AMD Athlon x2 4000+ runnin 2.8ghz on stock without any heat or instabilities, now what i wish to do is boost my Trinity AMD up a tad but nowhere have i found (yet) what the redline is for stock cooling on this model and what secret tricks can i do with mi ram lol.

can anyone shed any light on some hint and tips/ help on how i can go about bumpin this rig a little

specs are in the message i hope cause just updated them lol

thanks in advane

p.s i am aware my cpu is my gpu aswell but when set to 1gb and the cpu is in turbo mode, it all seems smooth

I don't know if mine is helpful but:

1. Defrag your HDD (Not SSD) atleast once a month

2. If you want to add some "MMPH!" on your computer, Maybe a little overclocking will do

3. Do not use any game boosting software such as Iobit Gamebooster, etc.

4. Always close unnecessary applications when gaming

5. If you also want a bit more "MMPH!" to your GPU, might as well OC it a little (Since APUs have Discrete GPUs, it's possible)

I hope it helps.

My HDD's are defraged often to keep peek proformance, i do it as a weekly checkup (i am saving for a SSD soley for my OS installation and a 1TB HDD for docs' games and game installs)

well i did manage to OC it to 4.0ghz but as im a newbie to APU's and the new UEFI or UFEI (not sure which its called) bios type i thought ide reset it back to default and ask as im used to old type BIOS

never used game boosting software as i see it as bloatware tbh and a gateway for all sorts of useless c*%$

everything unnessacary is closed and ive also disabled all extra startup and services i dont require so it dosnt cause a lagg, so far so good with that one

the only thing i can change for the GPU is the dedicated ram, not to sure about the clock speed, it can go up to 2GB if i remeber correctly but only having a 4gb module i keep it at 1GB so the other can be used for system as ive only got a 32 bit system, when i get another 4gb module ill defo be updating to the 64 bit and wacking the dedicated to MAX

4.4ghz on stock cooler.

It won't net you many fps. Especially since you're using your inbuilt GPU. I'd forget CPU OC and focus there.

Rule of thumb of OCing both CPU/iGPU is OC little, expect little.

Hi may i suggest getting rid of the Dual core and Upgrading to Athlon or something with 4 cores this is where your struggle is and here is your CPU support list there is nothing you can do with that weak CPU it wasn't made for gaming it's more of a light gaming stuff like online style nothing too heavy

AMD's Dual cores are dogs and get very slow at times

Motherboards - A88XM-A - ASUS
