Getting rid of unwanted / unnecessary programs on new laptop.

I bought a new Samsung laptop a week ago. I haven't loaded any of my own programs yet, since I want to uninstall all the unnecessary stuff. I don't know which programs are safe to uninstall though, and which ones are necessary... Can someone give me some advice / suggestions please. (4GB RAM and 500 GB hard drive, Windows 7 OS). Thanks.

This is what you need to do to remove the bloatware; the programs and crap installed by your computer manufacturer. Nothing else would be necessary in this area

Hey Maggie51 and fellow Samsung laptop user. You can uninstall every piece of the Samsung software you want. I would keep the recovery software and anything to do with drivers. In the event you would like to reinstall it you can do so from here or using the recovery software return the laptop to factory settings.
