Good ping but extreme lagging in Battlefield 2

Hi there!

First of all: sorry for digging up such an old thread.
But I'm am pleased to find someone who had experienced EXACTLY the same problem as I do now. The problem doesn't appear to be wide spread. Sadly, no solution had been found (about a year ago).
My question: is there a solution now?

I want to add that Battlefield 2 is not the only game in which I experience this kind of movement lag. In Battlefield Heroes I had exactly the same problem. Maybe a conclusion can be drawn from this?

I would appreciate every bit of help. And for someone who had this problem and fixed it (without installing a differend OS): it takes only little effort to post your solution here, and I'm convinced you will help more people besides me. Thanks!
