Solved Google add words?

Hi,

I have some technical docs in MS Word 2007, most words were underlined as red and than added, saved to the dictionary and turned normal.

My query is when I switch the drive to another pc/lap running W7 and Off 2007 they again turn red.

Is it possible for such words to remain normal (not in red) once added?

Only on the computer that you used to add the words to the dictionary.

The dictionary is hardware/software specific and does not get embedded in the document.

The words are underlined red because they are not in the Office standard dictionary. When you add words to the dictionary, MS Office creates a custom dictionary, and stores this on a file.

You can move this file/custom dictionary to another computer, see explanation in this post Transfer or Move your Microsoft Office Custom Dictionary .

1. Copy for backing up and paste the custom dictionary file to the different pc?
2. Can individual words be edited, IF yes in a notepad?

1. Yes.
2. The dictionary is a sorted list. You can edit this list with Notepad, just ensure that you make entries in alphabetical order, and leave no blank lines.
