Howdy Folks,

I downloaded the 90 day trial of W7 64 Bit Pro. I'd been running the RC but wanted to RTM just to be safe in case any security patches weren't backported to the RC. My question is when I get my Mitts on my own license will I be able to use the File Settings transfer Wizard thing to move everything over to my fresh install?

Thanks,
Dan

You can move everything but apps with the File Transfer, as I understand it.

Why not just do an upgrade install over the trial version? That will keep all your programs and settings, etc.

Correct, it will only move files not programs. I know what you're saying about upgrading but I don't know if I would. It's just my opinion but I would do a clean install

I agree on the clean install, but sometimes it is easier to do the upgrade.

No arguement there. I just love the feel of a fresh install. Also, I have got into the habit of imaging my drive so reinstallation is a breeze
