Graphic Card Problem.

Hi. I have a Core i7 860 & Asus P7P55D Deluxe MB and 8G Geil Ram and Asus GT240 1G Gddr5 running in 7os.
When I use 8G ram in my 7 or xp os whether 86x or 64x My Graphic Card Goes wrong. When I run a game like Crysis it becomes like patterns and and a minute or so, There's an error of NVIDEA Kernal error which recovered. I updated every thing but nothing gets better, But When I decreased My RAM to 4G, It's been solved. Who knows what's going on?

Welcome to seven Froums.
I don't see your power supply listed it could be underpowered, or simply need to check the seating of the card the cables and popssibly uninstalling the drivers the use driver sweeper to fully clean out any residual drivers and re-install the new ones
.
Driver sweeper Guru3D - Driver Sweeper

Nvidia drivers Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

Or could be heat related can be monitored with http://downloads.guru3d.com/MSI-AfterBurner-download-2392.html

Or just a failing card.

Hi. and thanks
About power supply It's Green V-Force 685 Watt which is a pro version. but I thought the same thing. Do u think it could be caused by Power supply? coz my Softwares are all updated. BTW thank u for ur software links. I send the Card back to guarrantee twice, but test was ok. No bugs, best overclocking too. And also, I overclocked it in my own system with 4G Ram, It worked perfect.

Your PSU is rated at 20 and 30A max on 12V1 and 12V2. Seems like that ought to be enough.

Have you run a memory test?

Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

You can sometimes get a memory problem if you fill all four DIMM slots in a motherboard, even if the same memory runs OK in pairs.

You can also get a memory problem with only two DIMMs if you use the slots other than the ones recommended in the motherboard's manual.

It's possible that one of the two memory sticks you pull out is bad. I'd run memtest with 8 GB installed and see if that is the problem. Could also be one of the slots also.

Are you still running O/C ? Do you still get the problems if you return everything to the stock frequencies? As regards the RAM, it is possible that you have a stick that is faulty or is not tolerant of being O/C as much as the others. It is also possible that one or more of the slots on the motherboard might be faulty. Run Memtest86 on each stick individually, and in all slots. You need to allow a minimum of 3 passes/test. Do any of the sticks show problems and, if they do, is the problem confined to a particular slot? If all sticks show errors when in a specific slot then it is the motherboard, but if a stick shows errors in all slots it is the memory module.

Thanks Paul, I will check it out. What if there was any problems? Should I send My MB for guarantee?

If it is still under warranty then yes. But you will need to prove that the DIMM is bad. Usually it's a stick not the DIMM. Run memtest for three passes which should take a few hours. Also you may want to uninstall your current driver and go back to an earlier revision to see if that clears it.

The problems with graphics card are always unexpected and come as a surprise, maybe it can not hold much information and is made up for 4Gb only.

LCD problem

I was using monitor n never faced any problem with graphics n all. But since i've shifted to LCD, there are few lines displaying on it when i turn the PC. M using windows 7 running on Intel D945GCCR board. I've chekd this LCD with my laptop n it works perfectly but when i connect it to my PC it shows crappy lines. Although windows 7 installs the VGA driver automatically but dont know wat wrong wit it..
Any help.

Not too urgent since this thread was started in February:confused:...You need to rerun the test without one of the sticks and see if the problem goes away.....repeat until you can narrow the problem down to one stick or one motherboard slot:)
