H.A.W.X. issues

Well, installed HAWX yesterday, aplied the 1.02 patch (last one)
When i run the game i get error screen to send bug report, i put into the game the Windows XP SP2 compat mode, runs, but i pause the game, i go ingame again and the screen turns black but the game stills playing.

Any suggestion?

Lincer, I ran HAWX in my system with Seven and never had a problem. Are you video card drivers up to date? It is sounding more like a drivers problem. Maybe reinstall the game to make sure it is 100%. Do you have a DVD or Steam version?

DVD version, I have lastest GEFORCE/ION 196-21 WHQL drivers for my GTS 250.

I am really at a loss, but maybe try reinstalling in compatibility mode? Maybe the installation didn't complete right.

Another thought, even more far fetched: I couldn't' run Blazing Angels under Seven, until I found the recommendation to run it not in XP mode, but Windows Me. I wouldn't go that far with HAWX which is a newer game, but maybe try other compatibility modes?

that's good to know since I ordered the game the other day and should be here soon.
