Solved hard disk changed to dynamic type after using disk management

Why not read the PW tutorials?!

You can make any partition you wish:
  • Larger (only if there is unallocated space there)
  • Smaller
  • Move left or right (only if there is unallocated space there)
So to extend C to the right side... you have to create unallocated space on the right. This can be done by shrinking the partition next to it. Shrink it from his left side. Shrink is called "resize" in PW.

well done mate. bettet late than never.

dude just one more doubt:
how much percentage of C drive should be always free for smooth functioning of laptop?(I've heard that minimum 40% should be free)

In future can I extend the size of C drive by shrinking any other drive if need arises?

I see you're still here. Are you still looking for the answer to %?

I don't think that 40% number makes sense. You would always have 40% that you aren't using. A PC will function just as good with 90% of the disk full as with 50% full.

Mate the smooth functioning depends mainly on the processing speed and RAM. HDD dont have much more to perform there. Still, 150 GBs is enough for C drive in normal course. If you want, you may change the locations of your user folders to another place than C drive, which will provide some more place in C .

Anytime . Just follow the PW tutorials as Kaktussoft said. Bookmark this page :ar: http://www.partitionwizard.com/partition-wizard-bootable-cd.html . In the left pane, all the functions are listed.

Moreover, there is sevenforums . So dont worry :geek:
