I just brought just cause 3 for pc not too long ago.
Inside the case are some cds to install the game. But it also says sign into your steam and activate the game from there.
I've never used steam yet so how do i go about getting this game up and running? I could download steam and activate it from that and install it but then what about the cds that are in the case?
Am i suppose to install by the cds given or just down load the game from steam using my activation code?
Strange stuff this.
Thanks.

So basically, steam asks me to enter the product code to get the game installing... when i fill the code in and hit next... it said the product code uve entered requires ownership of another product before activation.
I looked at the built in games in library tab to install but it doesnt list just cause 3. They have just cause 2.
It was released today so im not sure what to do yet.

Hi,
Interesting it came with a disk load it
Probably faster than downloading it using steam :/
That way steam may only update it,
I have a grand total of 1 game via steam Batman arkham knight it was included with a gpu purchase so I personally don't know a lot about steam other what you've stated
I had to download it from steam after getting the code from NVidia or entering the code using GeForce experience.

Hi,
The only game I have that shipped with a cd is Call of duty 4 modern warfare
There is no steam or Origin association with it
All was on the cd install and get going.
I recently bought Battlefield 4 premium edition but bought it through steam it is all download content
All I know about steam is open it and go to my games

Did steam download all of the files again? I am pretty sure if you bought a physical copy and activate it on steam then steam would just download some files because it has detected that the game needed an update.

Ahh steam activation, got to love it, tbh, there's more to steam than meets the eye, it has its bad points, but most of the time it's a convenient method of obtaining games legally, usually at a cheap price if you catch the sales, the catch of course is that it requires internet to download the game (if bought from the store front), but a big advantage to steam is the ability to backup games you've already downloaded so you can install them hassle free later, you can even burn these backups to disc if you want a physical copy.
