Help! Logging in to my email goes to "manage account" page not inbox!

I am caught in a nightmare loop in hotmail.com! For some reason logging in went to the "manage your account" page, i.e. not the inbox - which I can't access.

So I followed the procedure, re. getting a code and making a new password. All well and good until I go to use the new password. What I have noticed it that dots appear in the password section which I delete. I enter the new password but I am back where I started, i.e. going straight to the manage your account page and not the inbox. What do I do?

What may shed light on this is that today I checked out a temp hotmail account I had, to see if it was still active or deleted. Was fine/operating. However, checking again since this problem and it does the same thing, i.e. goes straight to manage the account page.

Try another browser. If that works clear the cache and cookies in the problem browser

I prefer to use this browser, but I cleared the cache, closed down and restarted. Problem solved! Thanks!
