help me on windows 7

i have windows 7 and only half my ram is being used or as the computer says usable i have 2 gb ram instaled and only 1 gb is being used
#these things cost money so can i have some help in fixing it

It's going to take a lot more info to figure this one out than you've provided. What platform of Windows 7 are you running? I'm assuming the BIOS sees 2 GB, right? What video card are you running, and how much memory does it have? If it is onboard video, how much of your system memory do you have allocated to it?
