Look for one not shipping from China. Sometimes I find the same thing on eBay shipped in the U.S. But for you it may be the UK or maybe even the Netherlands, Scotland, Ireland, or somewhere close.

And with coronavirus crap going on, I'd be very hesitant to buy from China right now.

There's a point. At least lookup the incubation period and compare it to the shipping estimates. Check the advert for description of packaging. As there are no panic buys on this item, then there is a good chance the stock was packaged before the outbreak. Wash your hands more often, as a precaution. Perhaps wear gloves while handling.

Hi there
Many thanks for your contribution to my thread.
I am a retired Electro Mechanical Engineer and I repairlaptops in my spare time for something to keep my brain occupied.
If you type into Google “monitor tester” you get thefollowing £152.49 up to £810.00
On eBay the first hit is a CCFL Inverter priced @ £0.99 to£2.88 but this is not what I’m after besides only one lead.
Scroll down and you get “PC Laptop USB DiagnosticMotherboard Monitor Tool Kit tester fault finder” I have one of these they areabsolutely rubbish and for what it’s worth I’ll just leave it on the shelf.

I purchased it for a differentjob.

I’m not paying those prices onGoogle.

Will not release from the bold typeface, despite pressing the key

As regards touching boxes etc. from China this is a pagefrom the Reuters News agency website
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-china-health-surfaces-explainer/explainer-how-long-can-coronavirus-survive-on-surfaces-idUSKCN20M3BK
One of the paragraph’s states “The agency said there is likely a very low risk of spread from products orpackaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambienttemperatures.”
If you have a hole in your pocket you can pay 4,950.00 from buysnip.com (these are rupees) which turnsout to be £51.52
So getting backto China

When you click on Bold button, two control characters appear in the edited text between square brackets. If you plonk your text between the control characters "B" and "/B", then it will highlight.
To remove the bold highlight, delete the "B" and "/B" characters, together with the surrounding square brackets, from the editor window.

If you scroll down on that webpage, under "Package Include" there are three purchase options. I suspect all threee prices lie within the quoted price range.

hi thanks for that.
Just had a quick glance at that and the answer is no.
What I am trying to achieve is as when I get a machine for repair I can "cobble this together" (if you know what I mean) and I am expecting some form of results, it comes with a R.T.F.M :roflmao:
Finally thanks for the tip about bold situation
Tony

The days of "cobbling together" electronics is rapidly fading, these days, mainly because of SMT technology. So even if you could diagnose a problem, you still wouldn't be able to do anything about it, other than throw the circuit board on the scrap heap.
