help needed please

i have a hp dv6 1030 us lap top so i had to do a comple recovery and evry thing installed fine all the drivers but one its the invidia gee force 9200m gs evry time i try installing it ses it cant find compatible drivers for the set up n closes in display all i see is intell ne one out there familiar with this lap top n knows how to solv them can u please let me know what to do thanks windows vista home 64 bit

mate can we have some system specs please as what you have postedgives us not that much to work with and given there are so many manufacturersof components and configurations that do influence what goes on within anygiven machine and OS. (I note you are asking for Vista?? if so you would be better off posting in that forum Vista Support Forums (same folks as here)

Now the specs I can pull up on a Google for that machine is telling it is getting on in years and they only mention Intel graphics which unless one has a machine that has dual graphics ie my Asus gamer laptop - is most unusual and especially in a machine of that vintage. So it has me wondering where the reference is showing up to NVidia graphics?? If it were a desktop and you had an NVidia card in in it then I could understand it as it would automatically bypass the Intel on board graphics.

If you run either Speccy or HW Info they will tell you exactly what is in the machine.

in the compatibilty in the driver propertys vista dont show up only xp
but the driver installer of invidia ses could not locate any compatible driver

I still do not understand where the zNVidia stuff is coming from though because given the age of the machine I cannot find any reference to two form of graphics being available.

Well in essence mate it is really a very convoluted way of saying there two different forms of graphics on this machine when to be honest if you look at specs for that machine there is only an Intel driven graphics provision.

I did refer a bit earlier that I have only come across laptops with dual graphics recently - for example the Asus ROG gamer I bought a while ago and the NVidia graphics chip (GTX 860M) only takes over form the native Intel HD4600 when heavy gaming.

Now it has been going for some time now and despite all efforts have not come up with anything that comes close to resolving the issue.
