Help network dead ah

I got a phone no computer access. My network died last night. Even safe mode not work. I had ten virus that I found. Tried reinstall network drivers. Tried all basic stuff. I can see networks but not connect. What I need is either a way fix it with phone or I need a link to download windows so I can reinstall. Please help. It's windows 7 on lab top Toshiba. Worked last night then didn't. Everything else working. It's like what ever connects me is gone

Hi there,

Your computer might still be infected, a Security Expert might be able to assist you.

If you don't want to go through the process of cleaning out the infections from your computer you may do a clean install of Windows 7.

why would I only not be able to conect to my network? Can a virus do that? Target one network?

I can go onto my next door network but not my own and my phone and tv can still get on the network and it looks like no settings were changed...

I can't understand this im going be pissed if I clean install and it doesn't help

Is there any other choice? I can log onto network next door but its slow hell so I dunno

What might fix this? Reinstalling drivers didn't help is tehre a program that I can run that might detect wifi problems and fix them

You didn't give us much info in your initial post, now it's a little helpful.

You meant to say that you're able to connect your computer to another Wi-Fi network and not yours?

Then...from your initial post this conflicts with the above statement.

Can you please elaborate?

Have you also power cycled your devices? An ipconfig /all output might help for us to review.

What type of Anti-Virus and Security Software are you using?

i can only conect to insecure networks as of now. I can't unsecure mine because its in my roomates room and hes not here. However Is that possible? Could I of clicked something or deleted something or could a program of broke my ability to log onto secure networks?

Yes I can NOT log onto my own secure network that has full bars. I can however conect to next door which is so slow and insecure. So the key seems be insecure...

I have a labtop, toshiba. I have windows 7. I reinstalled drivers for my card didn't work. I tried undoing things I did in last few days (this happened two days ago)

I tried all the normal things a guy who knows a bit about computers might try


Is there a windows app to run? A program I can run? or some kind of known virus that targets your ability to conect to other networks? Or some way to replace my windows secure networking drivers or something like that?"

I personaly wonder if its the router pissed at me and reinstalling windows won't help... but im not posititve either way I can't download windows with the conection I got now so if there are any other options please let me know ....

Can I install a new way to conect to networks? Like upgrade windows or something

Let's try something simple for now:

- Remove all wireless networks stored from your computer then manually re-connect to your own SSID with a correct network encryption. Test your connection after.

- If that above suggestion didn't help it won't hurt to re-scan your computer again but any infections left out. This will require an internet connection so you may use the unsecured connection.

he wouldn't do that even if pissed because he knows im going reinstall windows soon if I can't fix this and yea i did think of that I will look when he gets home on the router infomation.

What could make my phone conecnt but not my computer?

Easy question. Can I kick phone off and take over its ip and stuff and log on as the phone with my computer? get my point lets say he blocked my ip can I run a program to not use my ip adress? Maybe it auto kicked me or something...

Also nothing is working for now but I double checked I can log into any network but his ... but my network

ITs only one I can't get into but my phone and my Tv can get into it... so there must be a way to take over there information and get on this dam network right? or should i reinstall windows willl that give me a new ip? dns all that

if phone can get on can I use its wifi for internet somehow? not tethering thats sharing its network I wana share wifi
