Hi everyone, first post here.

I'm struggling trying to install W7 on my netbook. I'm booting from a USB pen drive and the installation runs great, but when it comes to the final screen (the one that says "Windows is finalizing your settings") I get the "Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart the installation." error. Then the machine reboots and nothing, It boots with the recovery partition from Acer.

I've tried 5 times and I get the same results.

My netbook:

Acer Aspire One AO751H-1279
2GB Ram
250 GB HDD
Intel GMA 500 Graphics Controller

PS: The netbook came with Vista preinstalled, and I've formatted the drive to do a W7 clean install... I'm using W7 32 bits final!

I would make the Vista recovery disks from the recov partition then delete it from the booted Win7 DVD>Custom install>Advanced drive tools/

Also choose "Stay Connected to Internet during Install" and plug ethernet to get latest drivers/updates as it installs.

The only reason you would want to restore to factory condition is if you want to restore to factory condition to service hardware warranty or sell the netbook but keep your Win7 license. Acer will provide free Recov disks within 90 days of purchase and only charge shipping if you need them later.

If that Acer partition says EISA then it will need special diskpart command which you can run from the booted Win7 DVD Repair console Command Line: Delete and Remove to Unlock EISA Hidden Recovery or Diagnostic Partition in Vista My Digital Life

If you post back a screenshot of your Disk Management map we can advise you better. Use Snipping Tool in start menu, attach file using paper clip in reply box.
