help with 7.

i have windows 7 on my laptop and somehow my theme changed. i lost my transparent taskbar and now i cant view a program on the taskbar by hovering my pointer over it, it just shows the programs in a list.

How can i change this stuff back to my old settings?
the original windows 7 settings it came with?

Right Click -> Personalize
Choose a theme under Aero themes.

that doesnt fix anything it just changes my background.
my taskbar still isnt transparent.. and it still doesnt display my programs when i hover my pointer

Sounds like you have a program running that is not compatibly with the aero interface, close all running programs and try it!!
