Solved Help with CCleaner

JaidynM

BSOD Dump Analyst
I regularly use CCleaner, probably around 3 times a week. The thing is, when it cleans out Firefox and Google Chrome, all my saved logins are gone. For example, I never log out of VF, SF or EF. My logins are saved. After using CCleaner, they aren't. Which options do I need to uncheck or check in the Chrome and FF sections to not lose my save logins or passwords.

I also want to clean as much as I can including history, cache, cookies etc. What else is it safe to check? I'd like to check as many options as possible. I've attached a screenshot of my current options below.

That's not going to hack it.

Here I'll show you what I've got and what works!

Incidentally, it is the session part that you need to uncheck.

I don't run it automatically, manually IMO is much better.

Anyway, I unchecked Session and check Cookies and I stayed logged in on EF but not SF. Seems strange, doesn't it?

Maybe I should clarify.

For security reasons, I never stay logged on anywhere between power off and the next time I visit a site. The first new visit to a site after the power back on then I use RoboForm to fill in any fields and to log me in all in one click.

I do the same. If I'm not sure which cookie to save I will run CCleaner and clean everything I have checked. Then immediately log on to whatever site and run CCleaner again. The cookie(s) related to the login should be the only one CCleaner finds and then it's easy to save it from being deleted.

A little off topic, but not too much. I do the same thing regarding cookies too, but I now do it with SlimCleaner instead. I have not been happy with CCleaner's direction as of the last few releases, and to me, SlimCleaner is just better in every way.
