Help with the quality of video picture Please.

If it's the files being played that aren't up to par, there are video players that have filters which can be used to eliminate the blockiness etc..

Sasami player comes to mind, but I haven't used that in years and don't know if it is compatible with 7.

jfar, just a thought, there's a video file in the Videos folder called Wildlife, its a 1280x720 wmv file, can you play that and report back how that looks!

If its as bad as the other video files then there's something wrong with your set up, please let me know how it goes, Anthony

Thanks for that Dwarf,The reason I couldn't find it in the first place was that I started looking at the Video folder in these forums anyway I found it, and played it, and everything looks great to me, with excellent quality and all, so I must be looking at some very bad quality movies as of late,I will have to keep my eye on what I download and try to be more selective ,I downloaded a movie today and the quality was very good compared to the ones we are talking about at the beginning of this thread,,so thanks for all the help everyone.

You're welcome, Jim. That would seem to eliminate a hardware problem. One question with these downloaded movies - Are you viewing them whilst downloading, or do you wait until they have downloaded before viewing?

I wait until they are downloaded, I am going to try a few "original DVDs" that are around the house, to see if there is much difference in the quality.I hope there is.
