Save to the desktop.

Close all open programs.
To run the program, right-click AdwCleaner.exe and select: Run as Administrator

Click on Search and confirm the prompt.
After the program finishes, a text file report opens.

To delete:
Run AdwCleaner once again.
This time click on: Delete

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
: http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free (Cleans any Malware that may be on your system)

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

Junkware Removal Tool (Rids your computer of potentially unwanted programs)
  • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
  • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
  • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
  • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
  • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.

Farbar Service Scanner (FSS) ( A useful program that gives a detailed report on the files, registries and services that are responsible for network connectivity.)
  • Make sure the following options are checked:

  • Internet Services
  • Windows Firewall
  • System Restore
  • Security Center/Action Center
  • Windows Update
  • Windows Defender
  • Other Services

  • Press "Scan".
  • It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.

RogueKiller:
http://tigzy.geekstogo.com/roguekiller.php
Select the version that applies to the system.
Save to the Desktop.

After closing all windows and browsers, right-click the downloaded RogueKiller file and select: Run as Administrator
At the program console, wait for the Prescan to finish. (Under Status, it says: Prescan finished.)
Press: SCAN

When done, a report opens on the drive: RKreport.txt

Temporary File Cleaner (TFC)
http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/TFC.exe
Save to your Desktop.

  • Save any work in progress!! TFC closes open applications and removes unsaved work!! Close all windows.
  • Right-click TFC.exe and select: Run as Administrator
  • If prompted, click "Yes" to reboot.

Cheers

Has anyone used Regrun Reanimator?

I'm wondering if anyone has tried Regrun Reanimator? I'm not a huge fan due to the poor language translation and hard to get to grips with interface but having used it a few times I do sometimes find that it detects problems.

The main uses for me are : Delete files on reboot, malware and unknown file scan, detailed system report. Fix problems.

RegRun Reanimator - free Trojan/Adware/Spyware removal tool - Greatis Software

I can see that it can be used to create a fix list but in that respect FRST is a lot easier to use!

It's opinions on the program's other features that I'd be interested to hear.

Tip: When the program runs a user needs to [x] out of the main window to get access to the other features. It took me a while to spot that.

Don't think I like the idea of sending in a "report" and then executing a file sent by unknown people to clean my machine. I personally wouldn't touch this with an 11 foot pole.

The "send report" option is for inexperienced users only. The program can be used to perform your own repairs.

I'll be sticking with the tried and true. Malware removal is too important to me to trust to something like this.

I have been doing a little investigating and I have noticed that
RegRun Reanimator has been around for about 5 years.
Their really hasn't been any what I call good or bad reports.
When I go to sites that I consider very good with infection they just kind of ignore the RegRun report the OP post and recommends one or more of the tried and tested programs and clean the computer.
I haven't found any site that I trust recommending RegRun.
The only place that I have found pushing this program is in this thread.
Now if some where on this Forum or Bleeping Computer Forum one or more of the security experts recommended it I would consider it.
As of now indianacarnie 11 foot pull isn't long enough. I would stay farther than that away from RegRun.

I did notice it wasn't used in this thread.

It wasnt in that thread simply because i havent used it, therefore, am unsure whether its handy or not, from what i read, in terms of reviews i found some "star rating" which had rated it at around 3/3 and a half, after some research and the opinions here i would NOT recommend it as there are several trusted programs that do the same job, as the guru's here seem to be hitting it off with a "longer than 11 foot pole" i would not recommend use unless its proven useful, cheers anyway
