Keng, Karl wants you to go to the Power options item that is listed in the Control Panel Folder.

If you depress the key on your keyboard that has the windows flag your Start Menu will open.
This is the same as clicking on the Start Orb.

At the bottom you will see a blinking cursor where it says "Search programs and files".
This is where you type in Power Options.

You will then see a list of folders and files related to "Power Options" the first one at the top should be highlighted in light blue.

This is where you depress the Enter or return key on your keyboard, and the Power Options feature will open, and you can finish with the rest of Karl's instructions.

I always got rid of all of the toshiba utilities, etc. but I think there was one there which is power-related.

A possibility is that the toshiba utility is controllling the hibernate function. Investigate the power control features supplied with the toshiba software or do as I do and delete all of the toshiba software.

kengloong,

WIN | type CMD.EXE | do NOT hit the ENTER key | Right-click on CMD.EXE and choose Run as Administrator

If prompted to allow the program to make changes, click on the YES button.

You are now at what is called an "elevated command prompt".

type following:
POWERCFG -H ON
and hit ENTER key

type EXIT and hit ENTER key.

Reboot your omputer.

The hibernate feature, as implemented on your notebook, should now be on.

We will confirm that it is on.

Once again go to an elevated command prompt.

Type following:
CD \
and hit enter

you probably see:
C:\>

Now type following:
ATTRIB
and hit ENTER

Thee will be a listing of files and folders

In that list, you should see:
A SH I C:\hiberfil.sys

now type:
EXIT
and hit ENTER

did you see a file called hiberfil.sys?

EDIT:
I also notice that you've been asking the same question all over the internet.

Has anyone answered your question to your satisfaction?

Dear all,

Finally, I've found a solution to solved my problem...

During installation of the Drivers for the laptop, we have to keep restart the laptop after you've done the installation of driver.

We can't restart the laptop after all the drivers has been completely installed.

The powercfg - a command still shown the same as previous configuration

The following sleep states are available on this system: Standby < S3 > Hibernate Hybrid Sleep
The following sleep states are not available on this system:
Standby < S1 >
The system firmware does not support this standby state.
Standby < S2 >
The system firmware does not support this standby state

Thanks for everyone whose gave his valuable ideas and solutions.

Thank you.
