Are there Vista drivers available? Vista drivers are compatible with Windows 7. If the sound device is Windows 7 compatible, Windows will install the generic, basic function, "HD Audio Codec". If no sound drivers are found, and that often happens with old Windows XP hardware, to get sound you will have to use a USB connected sound "card".

XP drivers are not compatible as Vista/Win7/Win 8 handle some sound functions differently than XP.

On the Gigabyte site Under the Vista 32 bit section there is just one file called Intel INF installation that i think it is for the Chipset and not for the Audio.

Now i cannot install either Windows 7 cause the audio driver and Windows XP cause it is not Supported anymore.
What to do?
Thanks

Yes, that is the chipset driver. If you do a google search there are various driver sites that show up for that motherboard that MAY have a driver, however most of those require you to pay for the driver (and no guarantee it will work).

Unfortunately, this is common with older XP hardware. I have seen many articles about old XP hardware and because of the hardware compatibility issues with many, most suggest not attempting to upgrade.
