At this point, in 2017, I think we all know that we're all here on sevenforums because we don't want anything to do with Windows 10.

I gladly use Win 10. I don't do upgrades, so two home desktops are still on 7. But the new laptop is 10. Works great. No complaints.

The two desktops would move, but it's too much trouble, and there's no certainty of success. So they'll live and die on 7. Their successors someday will be 10.

There is a way, in fact there are ways to upgrade illegally, but of course I wouldn't discuss on the forums.

Your best option right now is to upgrade to Windows 10 Home if you want to utilize your RAM. You can still do this for free, perfectly legally. See my article on the MS Community How you can still get Windows 10 for free

Yep. That about sums it up for me. When I bought my computer last year, I asked about Windows 10 and the guy in my local shop (that I've known for over 10 years) said "You don't want to go there. It's a driver nightmare." And since I trust him to not BS me, I took his word for it.
