Solved Home Premium updates all the time

I recently upgraded my wife's computer and used the MS Telephone update line to move the Win7 Home Prem OEM to the new computer. Went without a hitch. Computer is running fine. Only problem is, everytime the Windows button is pressed, the computer wants to shutdown and update. So far, we've run over 100 updates. I just noticed it wants to update again. This has been going on for 3 days. I've done a number or restarts do to various software and hadrware updates and adjustments, but this is getting ridiculous.

Any comments?

If you recently installed windows, or got a new pc, it is quite normal to have that many updates. You can run windows update manually in control panel and do most of them all at once if you like.

Also, do not worry if some of them happen to fail. It most likely is caused by a update that supersedes that one.

Running windows update manually though for the first few weeks is a great idea to manually check, just to make sure everything is up to date.
