Hotmail now supports push email, calendar, and contacts with Exchange

It does support exchange but hasn't worked for me yet.

That's strange ... I was under the impression that everyone got the new feature simultaneously this time. Is a particular error you are getting?

There's a workaround in that thread. A different mail client than the stock android one works fine with syncing mail. I'm still playing with the calendar aspect and contacts as well

It's not the Android mail client that's the problem, it's the HTC Mail client. I downloaded the stock Android 2.2 email client, and it works fine. I think the problem with the HTC mail client is it can't accept SSL certificates, whereas in the stock Android email client, there's an option to accept SSL certificates.

So if I'm reading this corectly, this does not work with and [email protected] account? only Hotmail?

It seems to work for me with my @msn.com address.


I should have chose to sync contacts. I have a ton of hotmail contacts on my phone now that I really didn't want there :huh:

I can't imagine why the HTC mail client doesn't support SSL. Seems a gross oversight, if you ask me.
