How can I tell Winrar to delete the complete files as it compresses?

So I have 42gb of priceless tv shows that are taking up too much space on my comp... What I want to do is compress these files. The only issue is that in order compress I need the room for the uncompressed AND compressed files.

Is there a way I can tell Winrar to delete complete files as it is done rarring them? (Assuming winrar compresses files one at a time) That way if it were to stop suddenly like in a power outage or something the files wouldn't get deleted unless there were fully compressed... So yea I need to compress files but don't have the room to compress them...

I am not sure if there is a setting in Winrar to do that, all as I can do is give a suggestion that if you have 42 GB of priceless TV shows it sounds like it's time to get a External Hard drive so you can do some backing up on it.

Are those files by any chance videos? If so, don't even bother, as WinRar (or any other program for the matter) won't be able to compress them and the resulting file will be nearly the same size as the original. Videos have a compression on their own and another doesn't adds anything really.

Anyway, WinRar has an option in the compression dialog that deletes the files after compressing, but it does so after processing everything when it finished successfully, so you still need room for the compressed and uncompressed data at once, at least temporarily.

Unfortunately I realize this but I can't... Any other ideas on how I can do this? Maybe a different compression program?
