How did my Text notification sound end up on my PC's email?

When I went to check my email I freaked out when I heard my text message notification sound instead. When I check Sounds>New Mail Notification it is set to Windows Notify.

Is there a way to fix this?

Which sound is associated with Windows Notify? Is it the same sound as the Text Message notification sound?
