How do I clear auto complete of search field for "Installed Updates?"

Hello. I was wondering how I would go about clearing the auto complete field in the windows update "Installed Updates" window. It seems completely independent from the windows explorer search field.

I was checking to make sure no windows 10 or telemetry updates accidentally got installed and now it's FULL of different KBnumbers.

I tried using the "find" option in the registry, but got freaked out when it brought up a bunch of stuff i didn't recognize and i didnt wanna mess anything up.

Thanks in advance,
~E

I'm not understanding why this got flagged for a move.. There's nothing wrong with my windows update. I just want to know how to clear the auto complete bar.

I can see how if you skimmed my post you could mistake it for an issue.

Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
Do you have particular KB# you're looking for ?
Best place to do that is in uninstall a program and view installed updates and use the top right search box and type in the KB# hit the enter key and hurry up and wait :)

As far as I've noticed these are all win-10 related
Code:
[URL="https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3035583?wa=wsignin1.0"] KB3035583[/URL] main one GWX issued many times
kb3013531*.mkv files to Windows 8-10 Phone
kb3021917*performance improvements 10 upgrading
KB3068708 customer experience and diagnostic telemetry
KB3080149*customer experience and diagnostic telemetry
KB3123862**recalled ? lets users easily learn about Windows 10

There was also an update that removed win-10 GWX issued this month

:ditto: What Mike said :)

There was just an update that was supposed to have cleaned up anything Windows 10 related, you should be fine.

No no. I mean the search bar in the upper right. I want to clear the autofill data for it. I cleared the autoclear data for windows explorer, but it didn't remove it.

Oh! I figured it out on my own. Apparently if you hover the mouse pointer over the autofill suggestions you can remove them by pressing "Delete."
