How do I fix my computer from freezing when opening certain web pages

Flash might be out of date

My computer: HP Pavilion running Windows Vista Home Premium, 2GB RAM, 32-bit OS

I believe the issue does in fact stem from a conflict between the current version of Flash used and the site being accessed. I tried the Clean Boot troubleshooting steps provided by Microsoft and eventually it came down to disabling my Anti-virus program AND ALL system services (excluding Microsoft services), but the browser still froze when I tried to access Facebook. I then uninstalled and reinstalled Java and updated to the most current version of Flash and now my browser loads Facebook immediately.

If that doesn't work, you might want to copy your important docs and files onto a removable hard drive and then do a complete system restore. It's like an oil change for your computer.

Another idea would be to donate plasma and sell off your unused clothing items on eBay to pay for another newer computer.
