7MC is displaying a lot of channels that I do not get. How do I manual add and remove channels or edit the channels it MC has selected?

How to add or to remove unwanted channels in WMC
WMC>Settings>TV>Guide
from here you can add or edit channels, etc.
make sure your STB is on if you use one and WMC has been properly configured to use the guide.
WMC does not pull guide info from your STB or cable provider directly.
WMC Guide probably will work better than your cable provided guide does on your TV's.
The WMC Guide Service is provided for free in the USA, not sure about elsewhere.
A 'Google' of "microsoft windows media center guide service windows 7" reveals some good links on this topic:

to use Google or other search engines and receive the best list of information, I suggest always using 'Microsoft' first, then name of the program then the issue and even the OS, in order in the search box.
