this keeps popping up on my screen how do I stop it

This is a monitor problem nothing to do with Windows. What monitor do you have, make and model number?

I had a feeling just put this monitor in. View sonic vs14768

You need to get to the Set Up Manu as shown on Page 13 and uncheck the box next to "Resolution Notice".
