Ive tried 2 tutorials already but none helped.
How to Force a Resolution in a Registry | eHow.com
Learnosity Tech Blog : HOWTO Add 1680x1050 resolution to Windows VMware Server clients

I can use either 1200x900 or 1024x768 but best resolution for my monitor would be 1366x768

Is there any software or anything that would let me to use any resolution. Wmware can set any resolution to guest OS which means it must be possible somehow.

I tried to call user32 dll functions directly but it didnt help.

That's usually governed by the drivers for the video board and the monitor. Do you have both loaded and updated? VMWare provides this function in the drivers, so that's where you should be focused in your search.

Yes my drivers are up to date.

so that's where you should be focused in your search.

No, I mean if you are trying to use a resolution not listed, it's because one of the two driversdon't support it. Trying to add support in any way may leave you booting to a black screen. You need to go to the video card vendor and monitor vendor to get support for that resolution.
