Good Day for All,
Could anyone help me in How to delete or uninstall failed updates in window 7, I have been trying to install "Security Update for Windows 7 for X64-based system(KB2667402)" its keep on failing with error code 8024200D.
I did try to solve by manual install of "System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB947821)" but no luck? than I try by installing and running the "Microsoft Fix it" still It has not been solved?
Now there are several records of failed updates in the "Update History" so I thought to delete all the history and re try, is it right? or is there any other way to solve it? advice me please?
Regards
Saazmath

Please attach the CheckSUR log to your reply.
Which MS Fixit did you use?
There is no point to deleting the history entries - it is simply a record of what has happened.

The error you quote implies that the problem is that the existing download is corrupt, and requires replacing before it will install.

I'd try first installing the update manually.

[ooops - I see you've already tried that!] - back in a tick

Sorry about that :)
Please check that the download hasn't already been installed - look in the Installed Updates listing for an entry
If it exists there, uninstall it, and then force a Check For Updates, and retry the install

Dear NoelDP, thanks a lot, it solve the problem, as you advised first I delete the installed update than force to check for updates, once it was available I reinstalled it, many thanks again.
If any one have the same problem please follow this advise, I spot the installed update by its reference in this case it was (KB2667402).

Glad to hear it - I suspect that the problem arises because MS updated the update, and some machines may be trying an improper over-install.

Good luck
