How to Disable folder recognition

Hello Friends

i am using windows 7 for like a month and i just cant stand the fact that windows ignor my view choices.

i like to view all my folders in a list view.
but windows allways change it back to detail or large icon view depending on the content of the folder.

i need your help to disable this stupid service in the regular folders and in the library folders.

Hello Zivo,

You can use the tutorial below to set a folder template of your choice (General Items in your case) to be the default folder template in all windows. Doing this also disables Automatic Folder Type Discovery to stop Windows 7 from changing the template on you based on the files you add.

i used your link and it was very good
so thank you very much

but still there is some issues like when i am reaching to music folder through my computer i get different view than when i reach music folder through from USER folder music shortcut

Is the Music folder though "My Computer" a Library?
It has a different view set then normal folders.

Normally if you go to any folder, set it as list view, then go to "organize", "folder options"," and choose apply to folders, it will apply that view for all folders in explorer...

dunno if that's what you did in the first place and still don't work, but that's the normal procedure..
