How to only show taskbar with Windows button?

I'd like to stop the taskbar appearing whenever my cursor is near the screen edge, and only have it appear when the win button is pressed. I have seen this issue addressed in an old thread called "how do you unhide taskbar with only windows icon key? - Windows ...", which was about the same problem. A member named "prisoner" seemed to have a solution, but I couldn't find a link and "prisoner" has long since moved on. I have tried to find a solution to this issue. I believe it could be solved in the registry using an 'autohotkey' program, but haven't found one that I could make work with my limited computer skills (I found one called 'pushtoshow' that worked for a while, then bugged out and I can't revive it). If anyone has a solution to this issue, or knows where I might contact "prisoner", I'd be very appreciative.

You can post in that thread you mention and Prisoner should receive an email if he is still subscribed. In the meantime, checkout 7+ Taskbar Tweaker - RaMMicHaeL's Blog (not sure if it is capable of what you are trying to do though).
