HP ENVY laptop randomly locks up and is slow at startup and YouTube

Howdy. I got a new laptop back in March and it's mostly been fine but I've noticed a few things about it that have been bothering me. I will include my specs as well.

Firstly, when I turn it on, it's generally slow to showing me my icon and log in thing to type my password. None of my other laptops have done this, and whenevery they get slow, a loading symbol or some other kind of indicator is shown and made clear to me that the computer is still working. With this new one, I just see the log in screen but no way to log in. I usually just waits and it shows up eventually, but I find it odd that it not only takes a while to let me log in but it also doesn't load everything at once like my older computers did.

Second, my laptop has occasionally stopped letting me do anything on rare occasions, one of them happening today. I was moving my computer to a different area so I could do some voice over work and suddenly the thing wouldn't let me open programs anymore. I also had YouTube videos open and so I tried playing a video and it wouldn't play. It finally worked after I restarted it, but I don't know what is going on and how to prevent this from happening anymore.

Third, there have been some times where my sound card would stop working, though only on Skype. So far, it's only happened when messing with the setting of my internal mic to make it sound less noisy and when trying to record a Skype call with Fraps. On both occasions, Skype alerts me saying that it can't access my sound card and I can't play anything that uses audio outside of Skype. Sometimes I've had to completely restart my computer and other times it fixes itself.

Fourth, and this is minor, but occasionally when plugging my charging adaptor into my laptop, I get this message.

Thing is, the only adaptor I use is the one that came with my laptop. Is there something I'm missing or do I even need to worry?

Also, here are my laptop's specs if they are needed to help fix my issues.

What exactly is going on with my computer? I've never had these kinds of problem with a new computer before. Thanks in advanced!

Can you please post the Part Number of your Notebook? (that's how HP calls them...)

Will be on the bottom and in the BIOS, and should look like this: AB123CD#EFG.

Have you tried Recovery to Factory Default settings? (DO NOT keep your applications and files, make a backup on a USB HDD/stick).

This way you will know if what you experience is the result of user action (applications/settings) or system/hardware related.

Do you mean my product number? It's L9C22AV.

All the issues started happening when I got the computer, so I don't think doing a factory restore will fix the problem. With what you've said in mind, I suppose it could be due to some user action, like making a codec download or something.

It might be worth contacting the supplier of your new laptop & requesting repairs under warranty.
