i cant install my C&C generals and zero hour expansion pack

whenever i try to install my command and conquer generals and command and conquer generals zero hour games, i just get the error message " ***MISSING MESSAGES***...IDS_AUTORUN_TITLE and IDS_CANT_FIND" can anybody help? both these games worked fine on my old laptop, once i tried them on this toshiba this happened. i am running windows 7.

Were you trying to install the game using a disc? If so, you might want to double check whether it's not badly scratched thus damaging some sectors in the disc itself by making an ISO of it. If the software used to making the ISO failed to do so, the disc I think is the problem. .

its not the disc, its completely unsratched, and it worked on my old laptop. thanks for the help

It could be the driver (CD/DVD/BD), you can use a software like powerISO to make a copy of the install file to your PC and emulate it to install, I think PowerISO has a trial, not sure tho, a similar software might so you might wanna check those out, the thing is sometimes Windows can't read files that those software can, it's weird, it took me 3 tries to install Windows 7 in my current PC, I blame sony (their Driver), but that is my 2 cents

On a Side note: I have this game somewhere, from the time DVD still existed hahaha Digital download is the best thing since... DVD
