I have lost the option to Drag and Drop to burner

You won't wear out your welcome at all. All I can suggest is...if the issue is unrelated, create a new thread so we can keep them separate. If you haven't done so already, fill out your system specs as well. It helps us to troubleshoot.
Thanks!
I filled out my sys specs the best I could.
I also took a screen shot of the sys specs but cant figure out how to upload it to my sys properties in my profile.

I'm no guru, just a girl that has been using, repairing my own PC's since win 95.

You could always go back to DVDfab and ask about a refund. You never know.

As for the system specs, it seems like you did it right. When I click the link to see them, they are filled in.

UPDATE!
I just checked my XP laptop and the Burner has a "recording" tab under properties/general if I right click on it.

My win 7 laptop has no recording tab.

My guess is that one of the third party programs has taken the burner over because I can still burn no problem with the third party programs.
Many thanks to all for your time.
You people are great!
D.

ps: I have one more major glitch.... this one might be a bit tougher than the burner issue but I think I'll wait a while to post about it since I'm new here. Dont want to wear my welcome out

Thanks
D
Your welcome D!
If I may echo Jacee, and Deacon's sentiments, we aim to be wash an' wear around here!

ps: I would have to look for your other thread, but if your glitch involves your battery there is a recall alert out on it: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=3686715&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en〈=en&cc=us

You could always tell them it doesn't seem to be working on your system. Maybe tell them you have a very old computer that can't seem to handle it without locking up?

Update

Update.
Removed all traces (as far as I can tell) of ImgBurn and DVDFab 8 and I'm still not able to drag and drop to the optical drive to burn.

I bought a new 250gb WD SATA drive and installed 7 Ultimate x86 on it and the option to drag to burner is working.
After I get it all set up the way I like it I'll image the HDD and install ImgBurn and DVDFab 8 again and report back.
