I use my secondary PC with WinXP for gaming and media so I'm not tying up my Win7 PC with that while I can work on other things. Since I don't own a DVD player I want to use the XP PC for that, though I have very few discs to start with. Either way, VLC handles DVDs poorly. It takes about 2 minutes to get to the menu and trying to skip a chapter takes 2 minutes and freezes the player. The DVD drive isn't the issue, I can play DVDs just fine in Windows Media Player, but I am not a fan of this player(and frankly I never have been). I like VLC's functions more- double click full screen, spacebar to pause, etc.
Is there any other freeware option for DVD playback that'll give me the functions I need?
