Solved i need to download a free sound recording software, any recommendation

okay the thing is that i'm making a fanvid thing but i want to have their voices in it. how to i transfer the sound from the original episode to my fanmade one? is there any free recording software i can download?

I would use the "regular" Audacity program unless you need it on a USB flash drive, like is linked by roderunner.

I prefer using portables as its one less program that can start with Windows giving me a faster start-up time.

Unless you have Audacity set to start with the PC, there isn't any program startup and it makes no difference.
